Payroll / Paymaster

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll / Paymaster to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees at our Makkah hotel. The role involves calculating wages, managing deductions, and maintaining confidential payroll records while supporting both HR and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and statutory contributions.
• Verify employee attendance, timesheets, leave records, and payroll inputs.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
• Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and employee benefits in the payroll system.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Support internal and external payroll audits by providing required documentation.
• Continuously review payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in payroll processing or accounting (preferred).
• Knowledge of payroll systems and HR software.
• Understanding of labor laws, payroll regulations, and tax requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional payroll certification is an advantage.
