PDHMS Field Engineer

About the role

The PDHMS Field Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining permanent downhole pressure and temperature monitoring systems on rig sites across Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with drilling, completions and service teams to ensure reliable data acquisition and compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission permanent downhole pressure/temperature gauges and associated monitoring equipment.
• Configure, operate and troubleshoot surface acquisition units (PT, DTS, DAS).
• Perform pre‑job testing, integrity checks and system diagnostics to verify equipment readiness.
• Ensure correct installation and termination of control lines, TEC cables and fiber‑optic cables.
• Coordinate field activities with drilling, completions and service teams on‑site.
• Prepare accurate tallies, as‑built schematics and post‑job technical reports.
• Monitor systems in real time, verify data and provide initial interpretation.
• Conduct all rig‑site work in accordance with HSE policies, PTW systems and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support during installation and well start‑up, and contribute to procedural improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field experience with permanent downhole monitoring systems (PDHG/PDHMS).
• Proven experience installing or commissioning electronic gauges and fiber‑optic sensing systems (DTS/DAS).
• Solid understanding of well completion architecture, including packers and feed‑through systems.
• Hands‑on rig‑site experience on onshore and/or offshore projects.
• Technical diploma or degree in petroleum, mechanical, electrical or related engineering.
• HUET/BOSIET or equivalent offshore certifications preferred.
• Strong technical reporting, organizational and communication abilities.
