Peer Reviewer (PhD) – Plant Sciences

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in Plant Sciences to join our remote peer‑review panel. This long‑term, part‑time position involves evaluating manuscripts submitted to scientific journals, ensuring high standards of originality, methodology, and scientific rigor.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and contribution of each manuscript to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature citations are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and validity.
• Provide constructive, written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in Plant Sciences or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑review‑ready papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research ethics and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
