Pellet Mill Operator

About the role

The Pellet Mill Operator is responsible for running and monitoring pellet mill equipment to produce high‑quality pellets while ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pellet mill machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Start up, adjust, and shut down the mill safely and efficiently.
• Track production parameters such as temperature, pressure, moisture content and pellet quality.
• Make real‑time adjustments to optimise output and minimise waste.
• Inspect raw materials and finished pellets to verify quality specifications.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication and minor adjustments.
• Report mechanical or operational issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff.
• Record production data, equipment performance, downtime and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and follow all HSE and quality procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma, technical certificate or equivalent.
• Experience with pellet mills or similar industrial processing equipment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and follow operating procedures and production documentation.
• Basic computer skills for data recording.
