PHP Developer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our customer's team on a remote, contract basis. You will work on an innovative AI agent project, using your expertise in PHP and Laravel to help train and fine‑tune AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP applications using the Laravel framework.
• Collaborate with AI model trainers to structure data and workflows for AI training processes.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of scalable, high‑performance back‑end systems.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into efficient, reliable code solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high‑quality standards.
• Communicate effectively across written and verbal channels within a remote, collaborative team.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex back‑end issues during AI model training cycles.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Proven ability to develop, test, and deploy production‑grade applications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in a remote work setup.
• Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with back‑end or full‑stack development beyond traditional React/Node.js frameworks.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously while contributing to team objectives.
• Experience on data‑driven or AI‑related projects is a strong plus.
