Planning Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead the project controls effort for small to medium‑sized projects. The role involves developing, managing, and executing planning and scheduling activities while ensuring accurate progress reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, control, and analyze project schedules using Primavera P6 and Excel.
• Prepare and verify contractor progress reports, baseline deviations, and delay claim analyses.
• Mentor Parsons and contractor staff in schedule preparation and progress reporting.
• Conduct site inspections to validate progress against approved work items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of planning and scheduling experience, including leadership of large PC departments on prestigious projects.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise professional judgment.

Required skills

• Expertise in Primavera P6.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with Power BI (advantageous).
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
