Planning Manager – MEP Projects

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead the development, monitoring and control of project programmes for MEP works across Al Futtaim Engineering and Contracting projects in Saudi Arabia. You will ensure schedules, cost tracking and Earned Value Management are aligned with contractual requirements to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and obtain approval for the MEP contract baseline programme.
• Prepare and maintain engineering, procurement and testing registers linked to the baseline schedule.
• Monitor progress, identify variances and produce weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate look‑ahead planning, weekly progress meetings and client/main‑contractor reviews.
• Forecast manpower, track labour productivity and highlight resource constraints.
• Analyse delays, prepare delay notifications and support Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of experience in planning and project controls for MEP projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, including FIDIC conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and delay analysis.
