Plant Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Lead the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the manufacturing plant, driving production performance, quality, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a Plant Manager to take full operational ownership of our manufacturing facility. You will lead production, maintenance, quality, and site services to meet output, cost, safety, and quality targets while building a high‑performing team and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all plant operations – production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, and logistics – to meet output and delivery targets.
• Own the plant P&L, set and control the operating budget, and drive cost efficiency across labor, materials, and overheads.
• Establish and monitor production KPIs (OEE, throughput, yield, scrap, downtime) and take corrective action to close gaps.
• Ensure product quality and full compliance with ISO and regulatory standards and customer specifications.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and asset life.
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to reduce waste and raise productivity.
• Enforce HSE standards, ensure a safe working environment, and drive a zero‑incident safety culture.
• Manage, coach, and develop plant staff; oversee workforce planning, shift structures, and performance.
• Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, engineering, and sales to align capacity with demand.
• Maintain accurate operational reporting and present plant performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading a manufacturing plant or major production operation.
• Hands‑on operational leader who balances production targets with cost, quality, and safety.
• Ability to build strong, accountable teams.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• ISO quality and environmental standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• ERP and MES systems familiarity.
• Financial budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
• Production KPI analysis (OEE, throughput, yield).
