Platform and Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Platform and Automation Engineer to shape and optimise the internal technology ecosystem of a globally distributed organisation based in Saudi Arabia. The role blends platform engineering, systems integration, software development and IT automation to deliver scalable, secure and efficient solutions that support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve internal platforms and automation workflows.
• Administer and integrate business‑critical SaaS applications such as CRM, support, billing, collaboration and engineering tools.
• Develop automation scripts, CLI utilities and event‑driven services using modern programming languages and APIs.
• Build and maintain data‑synchronisation and user‑provisioning integrations across systems.
• Create internal tools that streamline onboarding, access management, identity lifecycle and employee productivity.
• Identify and prototype AI‑driven assistants, workflow automation and analytics solutions.
• Provide advanced technical support, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive long‑term process improvements.
• Implement security controls, endpoint protection, identity management and compliance processes aligned with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance the overall employee technology experience.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in IT, platform, systems or business‑systems engineering with senior‑level ownership of internal platforms.
• Strong background in software development and automation engineering.
• Passion for operational excellence, security and modern technology adoption.

Required skills

• Automation scripting and development (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• API integration and event‑driven workflow design.
• Administration of SaaS platforms (CRM, billing, collaboration, engineering tools).
• AI‑powered automation concepts and implementation.
• Identity and access management, security controls and compliance frameworks.
