PMV and Transportation Supervisor

About the role

The PMV and Transportation Supervisor will oversee the safe deployment, availability, inspection and movement of plant, machinery, vehicles and related transportation resources for a major construction project in Riyadh.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily allocation of plant, buses, pickups, trucks and drivers according to approved site priorities.
• Verify operator and driver licences, competency, induction, medical fitness and equipment authorisation.
• Ensure pre‑use checks, third‑party certificates, registrations, insurance, preventive maintenance and defect records are up to date.
• Control dispatch, fuel use, mileage or hours, breakdown response, replacement equipment and off‑hire activities.
• Inspect plant parking, refuelling, maintenance, reversing, lifting and pedestrian‑interface controls.
• Coordinate transportation rosters, pickup points, journey plans, route restrictions and emergency arrangements.
• Investigate breakdowns, misuse, traffic incidents and repeated defects and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare utilisation, downtime, fuel, maintenance and cost reports and verify supplier performance.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in mechanical, automotive, plant, logistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of PMV or fleet experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role on construction projects.

Required skills

• Heavy equipment inspection.
• Maintenance planning.
• Fleet management systems.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian road and licensing regulations.
• Valid driving licence (defensive‑driving training is an advantage).
