Portfolio Manager - Joint Ventures

About the role

Our client, a prominent business conglomerate, is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage joint ventures in the industrial and energy sectors across Saudi Arabia. The role requires deep industry expertise, strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive long‑term value creation across a diversified portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial evaluation of investment and joint venture opportunities and prepare monthly performance reviews for senior management.
• Monitor portfolio performance across power, oil & gas, manufacturing and related sectors, escalating critical issues to senior leadership.
• Participate in board meetings, produce detailed MIS reports, and audit joint venture operations to ensure compliance and performance.
• Conduct market surveys and competitive analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and evaluate new joint‑venture opportunities, build a pipeline of strategic partnerships, and assess project viability for long‑term value creation.
• Initially work as an individual contributor, then build and lead a dedicated team to provide strategic guidance across multiple joint ventures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an MBA in Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in portfolio management, corporate finance or investment management, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, energy or oil & gas sectors.
• Proven track record of forming or managing at least one joint venture or M&A transaction.
• Strong ability to assess project viability, drive long‑term value creation and make data‑driven decisions.
• Experience with MIS reporting and conducting market research and financial analysis.
