Pricing Officer - Freight Management

About the role

The Pricing Officer – Freight Management is responsible for sourcing and managing transportation service providers, securing competitive rates, and supporting daily operational requirements across local and GCC cross‑border operations.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and onboard transportation vendors for local and cross‑border operations.
• Obtain competitive rates for dry, reefer, automotive, bonded, and specialized cargo movements.
• Handle daily RFQs and provide timely pricing support to Commercial and Operations teams.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms to achieve cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring all documentation, permits, licenses, insurance, and compliance are up to date.
• Maintain transportation databases, vendor records, and rate comparison reports.
• Coordinate with transport providers to ensure truck availability and timely deployment.
• Monitor market conditions, capacity, truck shortages, and freight rate fluctuations.
• Support Finance with billing verification, detention management, and cost tracking.
• Maintain dashboards, KPI reports, and operational performance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in transportation procurement, freight management or logistics operations.
• Experience in 3PL or logistics industry preferred.
• Familiarity with GCC cross‑border transportation operations is an advantage.
