Principal Stakeholder Architect

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for an experienced Principal Stakeholder Architect to lead architectural stakeholder management and coordination across major infrastructure, aviation, transport and mixed‑use development projects in Saudi Arabia. The role serves as the primary interface between clients, authorities, operators, design teams, contractors and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment of requirements, design intent and delivery objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with stakeholders, authorities, consultants and contractors to obtain NOCs, permits and approvals for design, construction and handover.
• Prepare reports, manuals and guideline documents addressing handover and stakeholder issues as required by the client.
• Attend weekly/monthly project meetings, track actions from all parties and follow up on progress.
• Coordinate smooth asset handover on project completion, providing input for weekly/monthly reports.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of As‑Built drawings, O&M manuals and authority checklists.
• Lead and mentor the KSA AOR team, support work‑winning efforts and manage resources across multiple projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in stakeholder‑focused positions on large construction projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Deep understanding of Saudi governmental processes for NOCs, permits and authority approvals.
