Procurement Category Lead

About the role

Develop and execute category sourcing strategies to achieve cost‑savings and efficiency targets across marketing‑related services, including advertising, media buying, digital marketing, creative agencies and related procurement categories.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement procurement strategies for the assigned categories, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Conduct market analysis to monitor trends, supplier capabilities and pricing benchmarks.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation and contracting to secure favourable terms.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, legal and end‑user teams to ensure procurement activities support business goals.
• Monitor category spend, identify cost‑reduction opportunities and track savings.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on category performance, savings and market insights for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field; professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, including at least 1 year leading a category.
• Hands‑on experience in marketing‑related categories such as advertising, digital marketing, events, PR, travel management and office consumables.
• Prior experience working in a marketing agency or handling marketing procurement for at least 2 years.
• Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
