Procurement Engineer

About the role

Matar Holding is looking for a motivated Procurement Engineer to lead procurement activities for Saudi Aramco and other oil & gas projects within our fabrication facility. You will manage the full procurement cycle, ensuring that all materials and services required for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, structural steel, and related equipment are sourced, purchased, and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Source and qualify local and international suppliers for a wide range of fabrication materials.
• Obtain competitive quotations, evaluate commercial offers, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures and Saudi Aramco specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, planning, production, and project management to review material requisitions, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Expedite orders, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve any technical or commercial issues that arise.
• Maintain vendor performance records, conduct audits, and keep the approved vendor list up to date.
• Ensure all procurement documentation complies with SAMSS, IR Form, SAEP, ASME codes, and other project requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement for pressure vessel, heat exchanger, and skid manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi market and Aramco‑approved suppliers.
• Hands‑on experience with material procurement for HVAC, piping, valves, instrumentation, and related consumables.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
