Procurement Engineer

About the role

EMAR Saudi for Energy Works is seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to support construction and electrical projects in Jeddah. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials and equipment while ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for construction and electrical projects.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Obtain quotations, prepare technical and commercial comparisons, and negotiate competitive terms.
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams.
• Monitor deliveries, procurement schedules, and supplier performance.
• Ensure cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining quality and project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or contracting projects with National Grid Saudi, SEC, or SE.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and technical materials.
• Good command of English and strong negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities.
