Procurement Officer – Spare Parts & Equipment

About the role

A strong candidate with extensive experience in industrial procurement and spare parts management is sought. Expertise in the Saudi market and supply chain management is essential for effective sourcing and vendor negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle from purchase request to purchase order, delivery, and invoicing.
• Purchase industrial spare parts, equipment, tools, technical materials, and MRO items.
• Prepare RFQs, analyze offers, and conduct commercial and technical comparisons.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best prices, terms, delivery schedules, and guarantees.
• Develop a network of local Saudi and international suppliers.
• Research alternative, technically equivalent spare parts to reduce costs and supply risk.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, production, warehouse, and finance departments.
• Monitor delayed orders, resolve supply issues, and handle international shipping and import documentation.
• Evaluate supplier performance and contribute to supplier base improvement.
• Achieve cost savings and improve procurement process efficiency using ERP systems and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience purchasing industrial spare parts, mechanical/electrical components, production machinery, MRO materials, tools, and automation components.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi industrial supplier market and experience with international suppliers, especially in China.
• Good understanding of Incoterms, international shipping, and import documentation.
• Proven ability in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and cost‑reduction initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping procedures.
• Ability to read technical specifications, datasheets, and engineering drawings.
