Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process, ensuring that the organization obtains the right goods and services at the best possible price and quality. You will work closely with internal departments and external suppliers to support operational needs and drive cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requests from various departments.
• Source qualified suppliers, evaluate quotations, and select the most suitable offers.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms to secure optimal contracts.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders through approval and execution.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with warehouses and requestors to verify receipt of goods and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain supplier relationships and keep supplier databases up to date.
• Monitor inventory levels and contribute to forecasting future procurement needs.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Resolve supply, quality, or invoicing issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through process improvements and effective negotiations.

Required profile

• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Analytical skills for pricing and commercial proposal evaluation.
• Proficiency with computer applications and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to prepare reports and analyze data.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and supply‑chain management.
