Procurement Specialist

About the role

OMQ is looking for a Procurement Specialist to secure the materials and supplies needed for successful event execution. You will work closely with production, creative and operations teams to source, negotiate and deliver items at the right price, quality and timing.

Key responsibilities

• Review event requirements with internal teams and identify needed materials and equipment.
• Source suitable suppliers, obtain competitive quotations and evaluate them on quality, price, payment terms and delivery schedule.
• Generate purchase orders, obtain approvals and ensure on‑time delivery aligned with event timelines.
• Verify contract and purchase compliance with budget allocations and agreed terms.
• Supervise the Logistics Coordinator to guarantee delivery timelines and specification compliance.
• Address any delays or supply issues promptly to avoid disruption.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date supplier database categorized by rating, material type, quality and priority.
• Prepare periodic procurement performance reports and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of procurement experience, specifically in the events industry.
• Strong negotiation abilities and solid understanding of supply‑chain fundamentals, contracts and material specifications.
• Ability to analyze quotations and evaluate suppliers against quality and compliance criteria.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
