Procurement Specialist – Jabal Omar Hotel

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar, a luxury hotel located minutes from Masjid Al Haram in the Holy City of Makkah.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for goods and services in line with operational requirements, approved budgets, and company policies.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and support price and commercial negotiations to achieve best value.
• Prepare and process purchase orders ensuring complete, accurate, and approved documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor open purchase orders, delivery timelines, and follow up on delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, quotations, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Support supplier performance reviews and identify reliable, cost‑effective sourcing options.
• Ensure compliance with Jumeirah’s internal procurement policies, approval processes, delegated authorities, and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a similar role (preferred).
• Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management abilities.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of procurement compliance, internal controls, and approval procedures.
• Problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (verbal and written).
