Production Shift Manager

About the role

The General Assembly Production Shift Manager leads shift‑based operations in Lucid’s manufacturing shop, ensuring daily delivery of planned volume while maintaining safety, quality and cost targets. This role provides direct leadership to production supervisors and shop‑floor teams, driving execution discipline and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet volume targets and adhere to the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery (SQCD) framework.
• Monitor shift performance, identify deviations from plan, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Manage Production Supervisors and shop‑floor personnel, ensuring proper staffing, skill coverage, and resource allocation.
• Promote a strong safety culture, enforce safety policies, lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure product quality meets defined standards, collaborate with Quality teams on issue containment and resolution.
• Drive standardized work, process discipline and continuous improvement to prevent defects.
• Respond quickly to production disruptions, including line stoppages, and lead problem‑solving initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and operational performance.
• Ability to manage shift resources, staffing and performance metrics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach.
