Production Team Lead

About the role

Lucid is seeking a Production Team Lead to oversee operators in Body‑in‑White (BIW) automated cells. The role ensures safe, high‑quality production while driving throughput and maintaining a zero‑defect, zero‑incident culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and enforce all EHS and robotic‑cell safety standards, conduct pre‑shift safety audits, and run toolbox safety talks.
• Manage team performance to meet production targets (jobs per hour) and takt time, monitor and improve OEE drivers – availability, performance, and quality.
• Balance workloads, prevent bottlenecks, and oversee standard‑work execution at each station.
• Use Andon systems and dashboards to track real‑time flow, coordinate recovery plans during downtime, and collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering.
• Support changeovers, ensure minimal impact on output, and oversee in‑process inspections and quality alerts.
• Lead containment actions for defects, maintain traceability, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading production operators in an automotive or high‑mix manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, with ability to conduct audits and enforce safety protocols.
• Solid understanding of OEE metrics and ability to drive performance improvements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to respond quickly to abnormalities.
