Program Excellence – Controls & Governance Consultant

About the role

Our client, a global cards and payments firm working with a leading bank in Riyadh, seeks a Program Excellence – Controls & Governance consultant. The role will drive operational discipline, accuracy and regulatory compliance across all card products and related activities, acting as the primary control point within the cards function.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal accountability hub for governance, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
• Review partner and vendor reports, validating regulatory, contractual and operational compliance.
• Monitor contractual timelines, flagging expirations and coordinating renewals.
• Oversee telesales scripts and customer‑facing channels to guarantee accurate, consistent information.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for card business functions.
• Audit marketing and product collateral to prevent obsolete or conflicting content.
• Support the Head of Cards in day‑to‑day governance, acting as a trusted control point for critical documents.
• Collaborate with product managers, operations, telesales and external vendors to align practices with contractual and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in governance, compliance or documentation management, preferably within financial services or payment products.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach.
• Proven ability to review and interpret contracts, partner agreements and reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
