Project Architect of Record

About the role

The Project Architect of Record will manage and coordinate delivery of Architect of Record (AOR) services for DSA projects in Saudi Arabia, overseeing design reviews, authority approvals, construction support and project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day AOR activities, establish deliverables, monitor progress and escalate critical issues.
• Lead design reviews against the Saudi Building Code, identify non‑compliance, and coordinate corrective actions with consultants.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants (structural, MEP, fire, landscape) and lead workshops to resolve regulatory and submission gaps.
• Liaise with authorities to prepare, submit and track permits, NOCs and approvals, maintaining an approvals programme.
• Communicate compliance findings and project risks to clients and stakeholders, and maintain accurate records of decisions.
• Prepare stage‑specific AOR reports, compliance matrices and submission packages, ensuring QA/QC procedures are applied.
• Support construction site activities, review RFIs and submittals for regulatory impact, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Drive project completion activities, track inspections and occupancy certification requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent engineering degree) with at least 7 years of professional experience, including 3 years in AOR or regulatory compliance.
• Mandatory Saudi Arabia project experience and proven coordination of authority submissions.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration (Associate classification or higher).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
