Project Engineer – Pipeline Pigging & Inspection

About the role

PIPECARE Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead pipeline pigging and inline inspection projects in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supporting safe execution from hand‑over through project close‑out, ensuring compliance with client and QHSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate pipeline pigging and ILI activities, reviewing scope, specifications and drawings to confirm readiness.
• Prepare execution documents such as method statements, risk assessments and technical procedures.
• Monitor schedules, mobilisation, resource allocation and cost performance, escalating variances as needed.
• Support field operations including tool launching, cleaning, gauging, calibration and inspection runs.
• Coordinate third‑party services (nitrogen pumping, compressors, cleaning, cranes) and ensure equipment is prepared per project requirements.
• Attend kick‑off, technical and client meetings, follow up on actions and produce daily progress and technical reports.
• Maintain complete project records, lessons learned and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in project engineering, pipeline services or EPC contracting.
• Knowledge of pipeline pigging and inline inspection operations, tools and documentation.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on‑site in demanding environments.
