Project Finance Advisory Associate

About the role

The Associate will support Mizuho's Project Finance and Structured Finance team, focusing on origination, advisory, and execution of transactions across power, renewables, natural resources and infrastructure sectors. The role works closely with senior management in London, the Middle East Regional Headquarters and Saudi Arabia operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial advisory mandates and ensure timely execution that maximises sponsor returns.
• Originate and evaluate suitable transactions, structuring them to mitigate risk.
• Cross‑sell and market related products across markets.
• Maintain and develop professional client relationships.
• Prepare financial models and pitchbooks for client presentations.
• Provide general team support and collaborate with Mizuho teams in the MEA region.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the Managing Director or Team Head.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project finance financial advisory.
• Strong financial modelling capability.
• Deep knowledge of project and corporate finance structures and innovative solution design.
• Customer relationship management and marketing experience.
• Understanding of relevant markets and sources of finance.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Degree or equivalent qualification, banking training, and project finance experience.
• Middle‑East transaction exposure and Originate‑to‑Distribute experience are highly desirable.
