Project Manager Substation 380 KV - OHTL - UGC

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a 380 kV OHTL / UGC transmission project in Saudi Arabia. The role covers the full project lifecycle from engineering through commissioning, ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall delivery of the 380 kV OHTL or UGC project, adhering to contractual obligations, specifications and international standards.
• Develop and implement execution strategies, detailed schedules and budgets, overseeing planning, engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure integration of converter stations, substations, control & protection systems and transmission lines.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans and monitor progress through regular review meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, technical sub‑mittals and method statements, ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE and client standards.
• Control project budget, cash flow and resource allocation, manage claims, variations and contractual correspondence, and ensure timely invoicing and payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Power Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 12–18 years of experience in power transmission projects, with at least 5–8 years on 380 kV OHTL or UGC projects.
• Proven track record of managing large EPC projects in the energy/power sector.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, CIGRÉ and client‑specific standards (e.g., SEC).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in English.
