Project Supervisor - Poultry Construction

About the role

Aviagen is setting up a new poultry operation in Saudi Arabia, with farms, a hatchery, a feed mill, a laboratory and a decontamination facility across several sites. It has partnered with GPP, a specialist consulting firm, to deliver the construction. The Project Supervisor reports to the Project Manager and Project Director and handles day-to-day on-site supervision of contractors, ensuring they follow approved designs, technical specifications, quality and safety standards and the project schedule. This is a predominantly field-based role.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractors and subcontractors and ensure compliance with designs, specifications, contracts and project standards
• Carry out routine site inspections and quality audits, document findings and follow up on corrective actions
• Act as the main on-site link between contractors, suppliers, consultants and the project management team
• Track progress against the schedule and escalate delays, risks or deviations
• Support corrective actions for schedule, quality, safety or cost performance
• Help review, verify and accept completed works and milestones, and check that design changes are implemented correctly
• Maintain site documentation such as daily reports, inspection records and photos
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, permits and safety standards
• Take part in site meetings, safety briefings, audits and project reviews, and provide field data for weekly and monthly reports
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure contractors follow HSE requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 8 years in construction supervision, site management or project execution
• Proven experience overseeing industrial, infrastructure, agricultural or large-scale construction projects
• Experience working with contractors and suppliers in the Saudi market
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Preferred: poultry, agribusiness, food production or industrial facility construction experience, knowledge of KSA construction regulations and permitting, familiarity with MS Project, SharePoint or similar tools
