QC Supervisor - Electrical

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring a full-time QC Supervisor for electrical works in Jubail. The supervisor plans and controls quality activities within the electrical discipline according to the quality management system set up by the QC Manager, and manages the inspectors responsible for that discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quality procedures, inspection test plans (ITP) and review methods of statement, fire alarm, BMS/DDC, KNX lighting, MV cable splicing, energization and the energization package
• Manage work performance, coordinate with other disciplines and liaise with clients on quality issues, NCRs and observations
• Use FMCS and SCMS, submit the two-week look-ahead schedule and review all test procedures
• Maintain inspection and testing records, ITP, RFI summaries, LBE, INCR, SA-NCR logs and the monthly quality report
• Lead and supervise site and subcontractor QC inspectors, and attend the third-party audit at 15% and 60% completion
• Ensure calibrated tools and instruments, witness tests at sub-vendors and laboratories, and close NCRs and CARs
• Take part in toolbox talks, internal audits, quality meetings and the pre-commissioning documentation

Required profile

• Full-time position; knowledge of the discipline from project start to completion
• Technical knowledge of the discipline and familiarity with international codes and standards
• Able to investigate quality issues and suggest resolutions
• Ability to set up and run a quality system for small-scale projects (below $0.5 billion)

Required skills

• ITP study, pre-inspection, RFI and punch-clear management
• Proficiency with FMCS and SCMS
• Client management, problem solving, documentation control and decision making
