QC Supervisor - Piping

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring a QC Supervisor for piping in Fadhili, Saudi Arabia. The supervisor plans and controls quality activities within the discipline according to the quality management system set up by the QC Manager, and manages inspectors and inspections and tests.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, control and perform inspections and tests on the discipline, and manage the inspectors responsible for them.
• Prepare the Quality Procedure and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Manage work performance and quality performance indicators, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients on quality issues, NCRs and observations.
• Manage work through the FMCS and SCMS systems.

Required profile

• University degree with 7 years of inspection experience, or high school diploma with 10 years; at least 3 years supervising construction in oil, gas, petrochemical or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of codes such as ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME, API 570 and AWS D1.1, and familiarity with the pressure test package and PandID.
• Proven RTR inspection technique and ability to manage the pressure test package and piping data logs.
• Aramco experience is required.

Required skills

• ITP study, pre-inspection, RFI and punch-clear management, and plant start-up, operation, maintenance and final handover.
• Quality management, QA/QC planning, quality audit and execution, quality training and client and sub-contractor management.
• FMCS and SCMS systems, documentation control and reports preparation.
