Quality Assurance Manager – Seafood Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead all quality‑related processes, personnel and resources at Almarai’s seafood manufacturing facility in Rabigh. You will ensure full compliance with company policies, food‑safety standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve HACCP plans and food‑safety programs in line with ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000.
• Manage laboratory operations, including microbiological, chemical and product quality testing.
• Conduct internal and external audits, drive corrective and preventive actions, and ensure successful certification outcomes.
• Monitor quality KPIs, customer complaints, product non‑conformances, recalls and food‑safety incidents.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, cost optimisation and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee supplier quality performance for packaging and raw‑material suppliers.
• Lead hygiene, housekeeping, pest‑control and environmental monitoring programmes.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the Quality team and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related discipline.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001 or equivalent.
• HACCP certification.
• Minimum 8 years of Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing, with strong experience in seafood processing.
• Proven experience managing food‑safety systems, laboratory operations and quality teams in a high‑volume environment.
• Previous experience in a multinational FMCG or food‑manufacturing organisation is highly desirable.
