Quality Control Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the QC function within our electrical manufacturing operations, focusing on LV & MV switchgear. The role ensures that all equipment meets customer specifications, international standards and delivers first‑time‑right quality during Factory Acceptance Tests.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure conformity of incoming materials, in‑process inspections and final products with approved specifications and standards (IEC, ANSI, NEMA, UL, NEC).
• Develop and implement quality plans, inspection and testing procedures.
• Lead and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and manage customer feedback and closure.
• Record, analyse and report non‑conformities and Manufacturing Defect Rate (MDR).
• Drive quality improvement initiatives across engineering, production and supply chain.
• Manage, coach and develop the QC team of engineers and technicians.
• Optimise QC resources, man‑hours and department efficiency.
• Support field service teams during commissioning and start‑up when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in a switchgear manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, ANSI, NEMA, UL, NEC standards and expertise in LV & MV switchgear, electrical circuits and protection systems.
• Well‑versed in ISO 9001, OSHAS and manufacturing best practices.
• Exposure to TQM, Lean Six Sigma and quality digitalisation is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication and reporting skills.
