Quality Supervisor – Mechanical

About the role

SGS, the world leader in testing, inspection and certification, is seeking a Mechanical Quality Supervisor to lead inspection activities across its projects and operations in Saudi Arabia. The role involves supervising inspection personnel, ensuring compliance with international codes and standards, and driving continuous improvement in quality processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of mechanical inspection disciplines and provide direction to inspection teams, both on‑site and remotely.
• Ensure personnel are adequately trained, certified and available to meet workload demands.
• Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards and the latest inspection practices.
• Review and evaluate quality assurance/quality control systems, compiling inspection reports and records.
• Conduct site visits to resolve inspection issues and assess service adequacy.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, recommend short‑ and long‑term corrective actions, and provide technical support for inspection methods.
• Promote safe work practices and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of inspection experience, including at least 5 years in inspection supervision.
• In‑depth knowledge of international codes (ASME, ASTM, API) and construction/maintenance procedures.
• Certified ISO 9001 auditor or equivalent.
• Strong command of English; UAE or Saudi driving licence is an advantage.
