Regional Director – Water & Environment (Middle East)

About the role

The Regional Director, Water & Environment will provide strategic leadership and operational direction for the water and environment sector across the Middle East. Based in Riyadh, the role carries full P&L responsibility for five key sub‑sectors and drives growth of the infrastructure function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional portfolio covering Water Infrastructure, Water Resources & Irrigation, Coastal Engineering, Dams & Hydro, and Environment & Waste.
• Own P&L performance, commercial targets and business development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain senior client relationships and win new contracts through high‑quality tenders and proposals.
• Ensure operational and technical excellence across projects, delivering them on time, within budget and to client specifications.
• Provide people leadership, building high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary teams across multiple locations.

Required profile

• 20+ years of industry experience with recognised expertise in a water or environment sub‑sector.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Middle East, preferably in both UAE and KSA.
• Strong P&L, commercial management and business development track record.
• Proven ability to build trusted senior client relationships and lead high‑quality tenders.
• Experience delivering medium to large‑scale environmental and waste projects on budget and to client requirements.
• Deep understanding of regional industry standards, legislation and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
