Reservations Supervisor

About the role

The Reservations Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Reservations team, ensuring accurate, timely handling of booking inquiries and delivering exceptional guest service. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, this role works closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue Management and other departments to maximize occupancy and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day reservation activities across phone, email, online and third‑party channels.
• Lead, coach and support Reservations Agents to meet performance standards and deliver personalized guest experiences.
• Review, approve and manage reservation modifications, cancellations, group bookings and special requests in line with hotel policies.
• Maintain accurate reservation records in the property management system and monitor room inventory with Revenue Management.
• Implement pricing strategies, upselling opportunities and inventory controls to optimize revenue.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Events and Housekeeping to ensure seamless guest arrivals and special arrangements.
• Handle escalated guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare and analyse reservation reports, identify trends and recommend operational improvements.
• Conduct regular audits, performance reviews and training to enhance team productivity and service quality.
• Act as department lead in the absence of the Reservations Manager to ensure business continuity.
