Rice Section Chef

About the role

The Rice Section Chef is a full‑time, on‑site position in Saudi Arabia, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of rice dishes to consistent quality and presentation standards. The role ensures smooth service by coordinating with other kitchen sections and contributes to menu development for rice‑based items.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present rice dishes following recipes and quality standards.
• Manage mise en place for the rice section, including ingredient preparation, portioning, and stock monitoring.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices in the work area.
• Coordinate with other chefs and kitchen staff to meet order demands and service timelines.
• Assist in training junior team members, reducing waste, and supporting cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience in preparing and presenting rice dishes in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper kitchen sanitation.
• Previous experience as a line cook, commis chef, or chef de partie in a rice or hot kitchen section.
• Basic understanding of inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
