Rigger 1 – Heavy Lift Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Rigger to join GE Vernova’s heavy‑lift team in Saudi Arabia. The role involves planning, supervising and executing complex lift moves while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the crane operator team during all lifting activities.
• Prepare and follow detailed lift plans, perform hand signaling and maintain constant communication.
• Identify load weights, calculate required sling sizes, angles and centre of gravity.
• Use bridge and crane load charts and metric/imperial conversion tables for every lift.
• Conduct pre‑lift inspections of all rigging equipment, assemble and dismantle rigging setups.
• Report hazards immediately and keep accurate documentation of all activities.
• Promote a safety‑first culture on the shop floor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Rigger 1 in an industrial setting.
• Valid Rigger Level 1 certification.
• Ability to read and write instructions in English.
