Safety Compliance Supervisor (Train/Metro)

About the role

Eram Talent, a talent acquisition consultancy, is recruiting a Safety Compliance Supervisor for train and metro projects. The role is on site and is central to ensuring that safety and compliance protocols are followed during the operation and maintenance of train and metro systems. The supervisor oversees safety programs, carries out inspections and ensures compliance with local, national and international safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety compliance programs and policies for train and metro operations.
• Carry out regular safety inspections and audits to identify risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate safety training for employees and stakeholders involved in train and metro operations.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and report findings to management for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and maintenance teams to uphold safety standards.
• Act as the point of contact for safety-related questions and concerns among staff and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in safety compliance supervision within the transportation or rail industry.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international safety regulations for train and metro operations.
• Proven track record in incident investigation and reporting, and experience in safety audits and risk assessments.
• Professional safety management certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA are highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel to different sites as required.
