Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will support the implementation and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs at Isuzu Motors Saudi Arabia. You will ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, MODON requirements, and internal safety standards while promoting a culture of proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of work areas, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards.
• Draft incident and accident reports and forward them to the Safety Engineer/HSSE Head.
• Monitor compliance with government regulations, global standards, and company EHS policies.
• Record observations, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.
• Assist in developing risk assessments based on plant history, international standards, and industry best practices.
• Deliver training sessions to raise employee awareness of safety procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Occupational Safety, Health, or a related discipline.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong observation, reporting, and documentation abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and safety‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• OSHA certification or equivalent safety qualification.
• Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) – Safety Practitioner Level 1.
• Basic knowledge of MODON safety guidelines and industrial safety regulations.
• Familiarity with hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
