SAP FICO Consultant

About the role

The consultant will support the customer's SAP finance landscape, focusing on SAP FICO and the SAP Central Finance hub for group‑wide, transaction‑level financial reporting. The engagement addresses consolidation, audit readiness, and IPO‑related disclosure requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP FICO modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders and Profit Center Accounting.
• Support the SAP Central Finance hub, including replication of financial documents from SAP and non‑SAP source systems via SLT/Landscape Transformation.
• Perform chart‑of‑accounts harmonization and entity mapping across subsidiaries feeding into the central hub.
• Enable group‑wide financial reporting with entity‑level drill‑down to source transactions.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to gather requirements, configure the system and resolve issues.
• Support testing, data validation and reconciliation between source systems and the central hub.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documentation and hand‑over materials.
• Coordinate with Advansys delivery management for status reporting and escalation.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in SAP FICO configuration and support, preferably on S/4HANA.
• Direct experience implementing or supporting SAP Central Finance, including replication setup and mapping.
• Familiarity with SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) or comparable replication technology.
• Understanding of group consolidation, financial reporting standards and audit/compliance requirements for listed or IPO‑track companies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; ability to work directly with client finance stakeholders.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the customer’s office in Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field; SAP FICO certification (S/4HANA Finance preferred).
• Prior experience in oil & gas, industrial or large multi‑entity groups in the GCC and exposure to IPO‑readiness projects.
