Senior Accountant – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The role involves overseeing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and all balance‑sheet accounts.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE VAT regulations and internal finance policies.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow reporting.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
• Review payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and recommend improvements.
• Participate in ERP (Odoo) implementation and continuous process enhancements.
• Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance as needed.
• Perform any other finance‑related duties assigned by the Finance Manager or CFO.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior accountant role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems; Odoo experience is an advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, clinics, laboratories or multi‑company environments.
