Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensure the integrity of the general ledger, and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS/GAAP. This role supports compliance, budgeting, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, journal entries, accruals and bank statements.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, monitor overdue items and ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing financial insights to management.
• Identify and implement process improvements, participate in ERP implementation projects.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead a team and meet tight deadlines.
