Senior Accountant

About the role

Vast Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to build and scale the financial infrastructure of a fast‑growing fintech startup in Saudi Arabia. Working closely with the CFO and executive leadership, you will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency as the business expands.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts in line with IFRS and KSA accounting standards.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts, board reports and investor‑grade financial statements.
• Oversee end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections and vendor payments.
• Ensure full compliance with ZATCA requirements, including VAT filings, Zakat obligations and withholding tax reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor daily cash positions, support cash‑flow forecasting and manage banking relationships.
• Process monthly payroll in accordance with Saudi Labor Law and GOSI requirements.
• Support budgeting, financial planning and operational finance activities across the business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial accounting, reporting and month‑end close.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi Arabian accounting standards.
• Familiarity with ZATCA VAT, Zakat and withholding tax regulations.
• Experience handling payroll, GOSI and Saudi Labor Law compliance.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and support investor‑ready reporting.
