Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will support HDR’s Saudi Arabia Regional Headquarters, delivering operational and financial accounting services for Saudi‑based operations and regional activities. The role collaborates closely with project managers, operational teams, and U.S. accounting functions to ensure accurate reporting and strong financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post selected journal entries that require professional judgment and an understanding of underlying business activities.
• Perform high‑risk account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Prepare draft local/entity financial statements, schedules, variance analysis and commentary for review by U.S. accounting teams.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities by providing timely schedules, explanations and documentation.
• Assist internal and external audit activities, prepare schedules, respond to inquiries and coordinate required support.
• Maintain accounting documentation in line with HDR policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Coordinate with Corporate and Operations Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, HR and Legal as needed.
• Partner with Project Managers and operational teams to provide ongoing administrative and financial support.

Required profile

• Professional judgment and strong understanding of business activities.
• Experience with journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and financial statement drafting.
• Proven ability to support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Familiarity with internal and external audit procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal functions and regional teams.
