Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, recording all journal entries, receipts and disbursements.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, including vendor invoicing, payment processing and aging analysis.
• Oversee fixed‑asset accounting, handling additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation and asset classification.
• Perform monthly bank, intercompany and subsidiary‑ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly/monthly VAT returns in line with ZATCA requirements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, preparing accruals, provisions, pre‑payments and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare timely monthly and annual financial reports for management.
• Provide documentation and analytical support for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, budgeting, cash‑flow management and contract administration.
