Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and lead the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing cycles. This position also manages tax compliance with ZATCA regulations and coordinates audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes, preparing balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow reports.
• Post, review and reconcile journal entries, accruals, provisions and general‑ledger balances.
• Prepare, review and submit VAT and Withholding Tax filings in line with ZATCA requirements.
• Act as primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors, providing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow analysis and overall financial planning.
• Assist in improving internal controls, accounting procedures and reporting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional certification such as SOCPA, CPA or CMA is highly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with closing cycles, general‑ledger management and audit coordination.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of ZATCA VAT and Withholding Tax compliance standards.
