Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Dream Realization Lab (DRL) is expanding its advanced manufacturing workshop and seeks a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technician to commission equipment, develop processes, and support prototype and low‑volume production projects.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, qualify and operate CNC machining, EDM, waterjet, hybrid manufacturing and metal additive manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures, safety documentation and maintenance schedules.
• Support prototype development and low‑volume manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, startups, students and industry partners.
• Select tooling, design fixturing, optimise processes and plan manufacturing activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Train users on equipment operation, workshop practices and safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in machining, manufacturing, prototyping or workshop operations.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC milling and turning equipment, preferably industrial HAAS or equivalent platforms.
• Familiarity with EDM, waterjet cutting, hybrid manufacturing or metal additive manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, CAD models and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
