Senior AML & Crypto Officer

About the role

This senior compliance position is based in Saudi Arabia and focuses on investigating complex AML, sanctions, fraud and cryptocurrency‑related financial crime risks. You will lead end‑to‑end investigations, contribute to policy development and work closely with internal stakeholders and enforcement authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive AML, transaction monitoring, sanctions and crypto investigations across customer profiles and transaction activity.
• Perform blockchain and wallet analysis using tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, and Fireblocks to identify high‑risk wallets, mixers, darknet activity and other typologies.
• Review and tune crypto monitoring alerts, thresholds and rules to improve detection while reducing false positives.
• Maintain audit‑ready investigation records and produce detailed reports for internal and external audiences.
• Develop and deliver training and guidance on crypto‑specific risks, onboarding and monitoring best practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in AML, financial crime, transaction monitoring or related compliance fields.
• Hands‑on experience conducting cryptocurrency and blockchain investigations.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, KYC/KYB, sanctions requirements and financial crime typologies.
• Experience working with global law‑enforcement authorities and supporting asset‑recovery activities.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and report‑writing skills.
