Senior Architect

About the role

The Senior Architectural Lead will drive the architectural, master‑planning and design‑governance activities for the Rabigh Special Project. Reporting to the GM NDM, the role ensures that Petromin’s project objectives, OEM requirements and future expansion plans are translated into a coherent, cost‑effective master plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation, refinement and freezing of the Owner’s Design Brief and master‑plan intent.
• Act as the primary architectural interface with consultants, contractors, OEM representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Review, challenge and validate master‑planning deliverables, including zoning, land‑use, building envelopes, circulation and expansion provisions.
• Ensure architectural outputs align with business requirements, operational needs and approved project objectives.
• Oversee consultant deliverables for completeness, quality, coordination and timely submission.
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved designs, specifications and design intent during construction.
• Identify design deviations or execution risks on site and recommend corrective actions, subject to GM NDM approval.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in large‑scale master planning and architectural design governance.
• Proven ability to develop and manage Owner’s Design Briefs.
• Strong stakeholder communication and cross‑functional alignment skills.
• Demonstrated judgment in risk identification, escalation and performance monitoring.
