Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

About the role

Tamm is building an all‑in‑one e‑commerce platform for Saudi Arabia. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will own and evolve a TypeScript/NestJS micro‑services stack that powers storefronts, orders, payments, products and fulfillment at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance services and APIs used by web and mobile clients.
• Build and optimise core commerce back‑ends such as order processing, payment handling, product catalogues and fulfillment integrations.
• Integrate AI capabilities directly into backend workflows, leveraging AI‑native patterns.
• Own the full lifecycle of features – from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure scalability, security and compliance (e.g., ZATCA e‑invoicing).

Required profile

• Strong experience building Node.js services with TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL/SQL and clean API design.
• Comfort with event‑driven or micro‑service architectures.
• Ownership mindset – ship end‑to‑end solutions, not just tickets.
